3G Kicks Off
After several years of planning, grant applications and increasing costs, early March saw our first training sessions on the new 3G (astro) pitch at Ousedale School. This project is a partnership between OTCFC, the School and the Football Foundation and started over 5 years ago in order to meet demand and support the growth of our junior and senior teams, in addition to providing the school and local community with a fantastic sports facility.
The Football Foundation is the charity of the Premier League, The FA and Government. They help to deliver outstanding grassroots sports facilities, which means better games and more players - helping transform communities where need is greatest and impact will be strongest. Not only did they provide the majority of the funding, but they also appointed and managed the construction contractors during the build phase. Our 35 teams and nearly 500 players, can now enjoy a superb winter training facility, weekend match venue and additional space for future growth.
